Lorne Historical Society
The Lorne Historical Society has an aim to store historic items and enable people to gain knowledge of the people and history of Lorne. To help research a topic the LHS has a collection of resources including:

Photos
Historic Photos and other documents are scanned and stored locally on a hard disk drive and backed up automatically to Google Drive. This cloud storage can be searched by filename. There is a PDF document indexing many of the photos, that can be read and searched electronically.
Lorne News
This is a collection of entries from past members, newspaper reports relating to Lorne. There is a 1,633 page PDF document that can be searched electronically and consists of eleven volumes, including files from 1848-1889 as well as the twentieth century files.
Lorne A Living History by Doug Stirling
This booklet documents much of Lorne’s history. The booklet is available for purchase. The LHS has an electronically copy of this booklet which can be searched electronically.
