The Marine Cafe was owned by Mrs Whitechurch.  She sold the Marine in 1972 to a young Greek man new to the town Christos Talihminidis, who opened the pink-painted Chris’s Restaurant. Chris’s roasted potatoes will go down in the annals of Lorne and the Surf Coast as a stand-out culinary triumph.
