Lorne Fishing History
The pictures in this sequential set were taken at Lorne Victoria, where a small Fisherman’s Co-operative operated. These study prints were produced by CHILDERSET PTY. LTD. 67B Katrina Street, Blackburn North, 3130, Victoria, Australia and designed for use by teachers.

1. Ken Telford setting the crayfish pots with the aid of electronics.

2. Ken Telford hauling in the catch.

3. Fish are cleaned before the boat returns to the wharf.

4. The catch is brought up to the wharf by crane.

5. Fishing boat brought up out of the water by an engine-driven crane. The man on the boat is Bill Stevens, old man walking is Mr Kelly, lady with fishing rod is Mrs Treloar, next to her is Stickman and the crane drivers are David Love and Les Grass. [David Love Facebook post May 2026]
